Why I chose AXO: I joined Alpha Chi Omega because it was clearly apparent that no two girls in the recruitment room were exactly the same and yet they all got along better than any group of people I have ever met. I have never known of a group that could speak so highly of each other, spend so much time with one another, and be so close, while having little in common aside from the letters across their chests. There was an obvious bond between the women because of the organization they were a part of, and I could not wait to be a part of such a wonderful sisterhood.

Why I chose AXO: When I transferred to Northwood my Sophomore year I thought that I could live off of campus and still find ways to meet people from my new school, I was wrong. I started looking into the different sororities on campus and AXO immediately stood out. The girls of this chapter maintain the highest overall GPA and are known to be the girls with the most class. I knew that was what I wanted to be associated with. After spending time with the girls of AXO, I finally found my home at Northwood.

Why I joined AXO: Coming into college I never pictured I would ever go Greek. I chose to join AXO my sophomore year because I wanted the girls to be my home away from home. Constantly having someone to eat Chinese, craft or watch movies with is a blessing I am so happy for. I knew the girls would instantly be my back bone when needed and that they were going to be my family. I will forever be thankful for all of my sisters and the love and the support they constantly give me.

Why I chose AXO: Being apart of a big family is a great feeling and that’s a feeling that AXO brings to you. Coming into college as a freshman and having to learn how to make new friends and find the right group to hang out with was one of my biggest fears. During the fall I had deeply thought about joining Greek Life and joining something bigger than you could every imagine. Unfortunately, at the time I had decided to wait and see what it was all about. Seeing all of Greek life supporting their philanthropy’s all around campus and raising money for charities was something that really stood out to me. Standing up and raising awareness for something you feel passionate about and being able to touch someone’s life is one of the best feelings. During second semester it was the easiest decision I had to make. Becoming a sister of Alpha Chi Omega is the one of the best feelings. You always have someone there to have a great time with, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to study with. When looking into it there was no doubt in my mind that A-Chi-O was the way to go! Having 30 sisters is always better than having 1. There is no doubt that you will ever be bored or spend a night alone because you will always have a sister who wants to go on a run, go fishing, or even go to a sporting event. Joining AXO is a package deal; Sisters I will have forever and relationships that will last a lifetime.

Why I chose AXO: I never pictured myself joining a sorority in high school, but when I came to college and went to the informational I knew it was something I wanted. What pushed me towards looking into AXO was the philanthropy. I have seen domestic violence in my friends' lives and how it affected them, and I wanted to help make a difference. I knew immediately if I didn't go AXO then I wouldn't have gone greek at all. When our president set up to meet with me and talked to me about it, I fell even more in love. The sorority girl stereotype couldn't have been more wrong. These girls were all so welcoming the second I walked in the door while they were making Valentine's Day cards. I knew right then that this is what I wanted. I'm so glad I joined AXO and that these girls are my sisters. I can't wait for more adventures with these awesome ladies.

Why I chose AXO: I chose Alpha Chi Omega because it is my home away from
home. I had been at Northwood a year doing other things before I joined AXO. That bid card changed my life forever in the best way possible. I found my home at Alpha Chi Omega because I had found the most loving, caring and supportive sisters anyone could ask for. I gained true partners in crime that will be with me through the highs and the lows of life. Though all these women are special and unique in their own way, we share a common bond that will forever keep us together. The leadership opportunities and amazing adventures AXO has to offer is endless. This summer, I had the opportunity to travel with the Global Service Initiative of Alpha Chi Omega to Jamaica with sisters from around the country and serve the local people. My eyes have forever been opened by Alpha Chi Omega.

Why I chose AXO: I chose AXO because I've always wanted to be a part of a big family and be surrounded by girls who are passionate, caring, and love each and every person for who they are. Why I chose AXO: I always wanted a close group of girl friends I could talk to, spend time with, and go through life together with. Then I found AXO, filled with girls of all different types, who come together and support each other in times of need. Their five core values of academics, character, financial responsibility, leadership, and philanthropy are things that I hold true in my life, and will carry with me even after college. Even after one semester of being a part of it, I find myself smiling more often, and holding myself with more confidence, just because I know I have this amazing group of sisters standing not behind me, but beside me.

Why I chose AXO: I transferred to a new college and saw the opportunity to create everlasting friendships and memories to last a lifetime.Joining Alpha Chi has been everything that I expected and so much more. Who wouldn't want 20+ sisters who have your back and love you for who you are no matter what? AXO is my escape from all the troubles of the outside world and it is my second home. Alpha Chi Omega is love, life and forever

Why I chose AXO: I joined Alpha Chi Omega because quite frankly I felt included and loved. In high school and middle school I was often excluded from things with my "friends" because I decided that I didn't want to play a sport. Our school had a total of 90 students in it (K-12), which means I didn't get a large variety of friends to choose from. They started to ignore me, leave me out, and make fun of me when they were "just joking". To this day they still act like little girls and pretend that even though they might not have hit me, they were still bullies. After I lost my best friend because she didn't like my boyfriend (who is now my husband) I started to think that there was something really wrong with me and that I was just another person in the world. When I met the Alpha Chi girls I started to really feel wanted again. Not because they wanted me to be in the sorority, but because they wanted to be my friend. I was invited to almost everything I could go to and they reached out to me to make sure that I was loved and wanted. I love these girls to the moon and back and I literally would do anything for them. When people ask me how I like being in a sorority, I tell them that I love it more than I would have ever thought. I love it because I have 30 girls behind my back at all times and every single one of those girls love me. We are sisters. I never had that in my life and it makes me so happy. These girls are more than I could have ever asked for and I am thankful for them and their love every day.

Why I chose AXO:
It's hard to not get emotional when talking about Alpha Chi and my sisters. One thing that amazed me from the start was how a group of girls that are from all over, could come together and form an instant bond with one another no matter where we come from, what we look like, or what we could offer. It was about who each were as a person. All of the girls share the same values that every Alpha Chi Omega sister upholds with our five standards. This is something that I highly valued when choosing to join. Another reason that I chose to join was how active on campus and there being numerous sisters in each club, I knew I'd have an amazing support system with whatever else I chose to do. Since then I have fully received that support I knew I would have. I also chose Alpha Chi because of how much work they put into their philanthropy and now I truly get to see what our time and effort does to help the big picture which is create domestic and sexual violence awareness as well as hosting charity events for the local shelter house of Midland. Knowing that I would be able to help others within the community and experiencing that first hand was the deciding factor for me. Now I stand on executive board as Vice President of Philanthropy and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only for leadership experience but for my own personal development as well. Experiencing all of my college career with my sisters has altered my life completely for the better. These are the girls I want forever by my side. Joining Alpha Chi Omega was ultimately about who I wanted to become and who I wanted to surround myself with.

Why I chose AXO: I chose AXO because the love that I felt walking into the room the first day of formal recruitment. When I talked to the girls who all seemed so genuine and happy to be there it made me know that Alpha Chi Omega was the sorority for me. Along with how genuine the girls were, they also spoke about our 5 membership standards, which really drew me in. Knowing that I would be with girls who care about their academics, character, and leadership ability I knew that I would be led by good women.

Why I chose AXO: NEVER had I consider being in a sorority until I met girls around NU that were genuinely kind & pleasant to be around and in greek life. Alpha Chi Omega at Northwood is not your stereotypical sorority experience! I love associating myself with such a fun-loving group of leaders that embrace their individuality. In Zeta Rho, each wqman is strong, hard-working, supportive & individual.

Why I chose AXO: I wanted to make life long friends that I could trust and depend on for life. My first semester at college I didn't do that, I was shy and didn't know anybody. When I was approached by AXO I knew this was where I belonged and would make me happy, and I was right. If I didn't joined I don't think I would've stayed at Northwood, I would have transferred to a school where I already knew I had a friend. They are the reason I didn't give up on my wonderful opportunity here.
Why I chose AXO: It feels like family with these girls! I can wake up with them Saturday morning and feel comfortable! Classy girls who care about grades and having fun! Ambitious girls who really want to reach the heights and accomplish it all! I know I can call these girls my closest friends and sisters... It's just that feeling you get from all the girls when you walk in the room on recruitment.
