Our History
In fall of 1981, eleven ladies decided to form a national fraternity organization at Northwood University. After many meetings, conventions, and interviews, Alpha Chi Omega was officially colonized at our campus. The colonization period lasted for one year then we became the Zeta- Rho chapter January 15, 1983. During the colonization, we built a firm foundation for a strong chapter by adding additional fifteen ladies totaling in 26 members.
Alpha Chi Omega was the FIRST national sorority on Northwood’s campus. The Zeta Rho chapter is just one of the 142 active chapters around the country.
